Photography as passion...
Photography has always been both a passion and a creative outlet for me. As a teenager, I used my dad’s ancient Argus 35mm to snap my first roll of prints. I could hardly wait to get my photos developed (Yes, in the "old days" you had to wait for someone to develop your film). When I received them back, I realized that on that old camera you needed to advance the film manually or images became superimposed over one another. I wasn’t totally discouraged, as it was both a learning experience and a motivator to do it better the next time.
While times have changed and although the methods of photo production are so far advanced from that first roll I shot, my passion for the art of photography is still the same. My clients never feel like customers; they always feel like friends and family; and many become just that. That is why I do not advertise. My business started in 2005, continues to exist although limited these days through word of mouth and repeat business relationships. Recently, my photography has been more of personal outlet than a business venture as I have focused on ministry and service which has cut into the time I used to devote to photography. Yet, I am always open for the opportunity to create a memory that you will be proud to view for years to come. |
“If a photographer cares about the people before the lens and is compassionate, much is given. It is the photographer, not the camera, that is the instrument.”
